Kelly Youngdale
President
Kelly
Youngdale is responsible for the overall direction of Label
Innovation Inc, reporting to the Board of Directors.
Kelly has seen many changes since his start back in 1993.
From an initial starting position in Sales, to Sales and Marketing
Director in 1999 to becoming president in 2010, Kelly has seen this
company grow from 4 people to what it is today. Kelly is
active in a number of local organizations that promote a better
community.
Kelly attended the University of Western Ontario and graduated
with a Bachelor of Arts with concentration in Economics in 1993
Kelly is married with 2 children and currently resides in
Ottawa. He is active in his children's activities and enjoys
woodworking, cycling and spending time with family.
Chris Mason
Financial Controller
Chris as Financial
Controller heads up the Finance and IT Functions of the Company. A
Canadian (CGA) and UK qualified (CIMA) who specializes in unlocking
the data within the company and turning it into useful and timely
management information.
He has a wealth of experience in many different industries. In
the UK he held senior financial position in companies involved in
manufacturing large electrical generation equipment, pipeline
pumping equipment, nuclear shutdown systems, electrical switchgear,
electrical contracting, shelving systems, storage and conveyor
machinery, soft drinks and was a Chief Accountant at the UK
Ministry of Defence, working in the RAF supply chain.
In Canada he has held positions in window manufacturers and
joined Label Innovation in March 2008 where his experience and IT
skills are much respected.
He qualified as a Cost and Management Accountant in 1975 and was
appointed a CIMA in 1984. After emigrating to Canada in 2001 he
became an CGA in 2005.
Chris is married and has 1 son. He enjoys travelling and finding
useful and elegant curiosities in antique shops or flea
markets.
Brian Jeffrey
Sales & Marketing
Brian Jeffrey
brings over 40 years' experience in sales, sales management, and
business consulting to the job. He is formerly the past president
of SalesForce Training & Consulting Inc., and Salesforce
Assessments Ltd. Having sold both those companies, Brian has joined
Label Innovation, one of his long time consulting clients, as the
Sales & Marketing Manager.
Brian's sales philosophy is to help his clients make an informed
buying decision. During his many years in sales, Brian has sold
everything from electronic instrumentation to computers, satellite
communications equipment to state-of-the-art test instruments,
consulting services to training, tangibles and intangibles. In
addition, he has owned or managed three retail operations, a
computer communications firm, a paging firm, a sales training
company, and an Internet-based business.
He is a strong believer of building sound business relationships
that are based on mutual trust and added value.
On a personal note, Brian and his life mate, Lorraine, live in a
rural setting outside of Carp Ontario. Brian has been a licensed
amateur radio operator for over 50 years and holds the call sign
VE3UU.
Daryl Newman
Production
Daryl Newman is
responsible for the overall production of the company. Included
within the production area are Estimation, R & D, Purchasing
and Shipping & Receiving.
Daryl brings over 21 years of manufacturing experience in
various positions with national and international companies. His
experience included production manager, manufacturing manager and
maintenance manager.
Daryl is a graduate of Mount Allison University with a Bachelor
of Science degree and a Certificate in Engineering. Through his
involvement in university sports, Daryl brings a philosophy of a
team approach to the production environment at Label Innovation.
Working together with our customers on one team helps achieve our
goals.
Away from work Daryl enjoys spending his time coaching hockey,
cabinet making, playing golf with his family and traveling.
Joel MacCaull P.Eng.
Quality Assurance
Joel MacCaull is
responsible for the overall guidance of Label Innovation's ISO
9001:2008 Quality Management System.
Joel came to Label Innovation in 2010 after 18 years in
positions of increasing responsibility within the Automotive Glass
division of PPG Industries. His last position before joining Label
Innovation was Engineering Manager at the Hawkesbury lamination
plant.
An Industrial Engineer and Six Sigma Black Belt, Joel has 25
years of experience developing processes to MIL (military), TS
(automotive), and ISO standards.
Joel enjoys time spent with his family at the cottage on PEI,
and skating on the Rideau Canal.
Rick Whittall
Human Resources
Rick Whittall
has responsibility for Label Innovation's strategic human resources
activities, including workforce development and organization
effectiveness, compensation, staffing, HR processes and information
management.
Prior to joining Label Innovation in 2007, Rick held a similar
post with Agere Systems Canada, formerly a part of the
microelectronics division of Lucent Technologies. Rick's
Human Resources career has included Senior Management and HR
Business Partner roles at Compaq Canada and Digital Equipment of
Canada. With a particular interest and expertise in the
area of Employee Engagement, Rick has conducted independent
consulting engagements with area high-tech companies focused on
measuring employee engagement and driving heightened engagement
levels.
Rick's academic background is Social Psychology with a MSc. from
the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor's degree from Carleton
University.
Away from work Rick enjoys anything that involves family and
friends - particularly golf, boating and travel.
